Weekly Update with Erika Waters

Life has been rather busy around our house lately, but we have been able to slow down lately an enjoy hanging out with friends, tailgating, watching TV, etc.  Sometimes, you just have to relax ya know? I’m making a new rule that I will have at least 2 nights a week where nothing is scheduled so Mikey and I can just hang out together.  Last night we watched this really cool show called America’s Greatest Dog or something like that.  All these people have their dogs and they go through these tests of obedience and loyalty, agility, etc. Last night was a loyalty test.  The dog was placed in the center of a circle and had to sit and stay while all these other people tried to distract the dog with toys, treats, etc.  The test was to see not only if your dog was obedient, but if it was able to focus only on your and be loyal to you while other people were also giving commands to him/her. It was REALLY interesting. So Michael and I thought we would try this with our dogs. He was giving the sit/stay command while I tried to distract. I had ice cream, treats, etc. It was so funny to watch. It was like they were watching a tennis match looking from him to me to him to me. It was so cute. But then we decided that this wasn”t a fair competition with them because they are both extremely loyal to both of us. So, they each got to pick their treat (rawhide or biscuit) and then got pet and scrathced real well.  We love our pooper dogs!!

The biggest recent update that I have not yet posted is that I chopped my hair off! Here is a picture of me and my cousin Holly when she came to visit…you can see the shorter hair.  Not the best picture, but I’ll post more. My weekend goal is to get all our pics up…hear that boo?
