A Thought on Oatmeal
I like oatmeal. I had some this morning and it was great…Banana Bread Oatmeal…yummy.
However oatmeal has a downfall if you are a slow eater….it gets cold fast. So although the first few bites are great, I have to contintually go back to the microwave and re-heat. Then it gets dry and rubbery. That is the worst kind of oatmeal.
Dual Significance? I can’t find any…maybe Emily can help me out on that one!

Oatmeal, my oatmeal, why have you gone cold? I stir you, and warm you to nourish the soul.
You continually mock me with your nutritious IQ. But soon I must realize it’s not about you.
Oatmeal, my oatmeal, you’re a choice I choose. For better or worse, I must remember I’m whose.
A temple I’m called or simply a body. It’s beautiful however, God says I’m a hottie.
So I will cherish what’s given, although dry and rubbery. Or maybe I’ll change and become a shrubbery. (Shout out to Monty Python)
Oatmeal, my oatmeal, I’m thankful for these. But next time would you stay warm for me please?
Hooray Emily! I knew you would not disappoint!
