Rollin’ Revelations

So this really isn’t so much of a revelation, but its something I’ve been thinking about a lot.  There is a popular worship song write now and the chorus goes

“Your name, is a strong and might tower, Your name, is a shelter like no other, You name, let the nations sing it louder, cuase nothing has the power to save, but your name.”

I was thinking of the power in the name “Jesus.” The Bible says that all those who believe in Christ, and call on his name will be saved. It also says that we should pray in his name, and glorify his name. Jesus is called by 100s of names in the Bible. And I love the thought of this! It so fits the nature of God…He can truely be All things to All people. There are times in life when he is Abba, Father. There are times when he is Jehovah Jira, my provider.  No matter your circumstance or situation, God is the Great I Am! There is so much power and might in the name of Jesus, if only we called upon that name more.

Here are the words to another one of my favorite Hymns about the Name of Jesus…

“Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, there’s just something about that name. Master, Saviour, Jesus, like the fragrance after the rain. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, let all heaven and earth proclaim! Kings and Kingdoms will all pass away, but there’s something about that name!”
